Bill Cosby’s Sexual Assault Case Ends In Mistrial

Bill Cosby’s sexual assault case ended in a mistrial over the weekend. The jurors weren’t able to reach a unanimous verdict on any of the three counts of aggravated indecent assault that Bill Cosby is being charged with. They reviewed the case for more than 50 hours over a six-day period. They were deadlocked earlier this week but the judge ordered them to continue deliberating. On Saturday morning, all jurors agreed that there was "hopeless deadlock that cannot be resolved on further deliberations." I wonder what they were arguing about in there! So Bill Cosby walked out of court a free man and was spared from what could have been a 30-year prison sentence.

It went on to add that her cardiac arrest was caused by multiple drug intake. After the Medical Examiner's ruling was made public, Carrie Fisher's daughter Billie Lourde released the following statement: "My mom battled drug addiction and mental illness her entire life. She ultimately died of it... I know my Mom, she'd want her death to encourage people to be open about their struggles. Seek help, fight for government funding for mental health programs. Shame and those social stigmas are the enemies of progress to solutions and ultimately a cure. Love you Momby."
