WATCH: Kelly Clarkson & Pink Open 2017 American Music Awards With Incredible Tribute to First Responders

November 19, 2017

Kelly Clarkson and Pink's opening number for the 2017 American Music Awards did not disappoint. Their emotional tribute to those affected by the tragic events (hurricanes, gun violence, etc.) that the country has faced in the past year was incredibly powerful. In fact, there were some who wiped away tears in the crowd.

The pair collaborated for the first time ever as they covered R.E.M's "Everybody Hurts." They were introduced by Jamie Foxx who saluted first responders.

"2017 was a year that tested our faith. In these moments of crisis, heroes emerged,” Foxx said before Pink and Kelly Clarkson took to the stage.

We'll have footage of the performance once it becomes available.

We'll have more photos and coverage from the 2017 American Music Awards soon, so be sure to check back here.
