1) enough people....three people ain't a party
2)At least a 42 inch High def set....nuff said.
3)Enough miller beer to handle all requests for one more.
4)Lots of food: Chips,salsa....muffelettas....burgers...something to soak up the beer.
5)Plenty of soft chairs.....no folding chairs......
6) something else to do at halftime....maybe have an actual football to toss around....work on your squares.
7) A PLUNGER=I THINK YOU MIGHT KNOW WHY ON THIS ONE. |

In Vegas you can bet on anything. Here is proof.
1) Will Kelly clarkson forget or omit at least One word of the National anthem?
2) Will Kelly Clarkson's bare belly be showing when she sings the National Anthem?
3) what color will Madonna's hair be when she begins the Super Bowl halftime show?
4) How many times will Peyton Manning be shown on tv during the game?
5) what color will the gatorade be that is dumped on the winning coach?
6) How bad will the Giants beat the patriots?

The great american steamboat company is hiring three hundred folks for Memphis. All kinds of jobs. They are based here in town...imagine cruising up and down the mississippi river. Just when you think you've got it figured out your wife's boyfriend pops up out of nowhere. No wonder the cable was free and the trash got picked up three times a week. Just kidding.

Winners and losers from the weekend

This weekend was full of winners and losers. Winners tigers and the Griz...yes...they are rolling on big time. The double play treat last saturday was so much fun....If you haven't been to a Griz game yet...take your kids and do it big time....so much fun....same with the tigers....electric fun downtown...makes you proud.
Memphis has been selected as one of the most affordable cities in the US. Ask anybody that has transferred from california or DC or chicago....the cost of houusing and everything else is remarkable...fresh clean water in an abundant supply....people that say hello....the list is long and proud.
New York Giants and The New England patriots in the super Bowl...two weeks away...always fun. It's a great way to burn up winter.
Losers: Heidi and Seal have broken up. I thought they were rock solid....american Idol is drifting away from us. And the price of gas keeps going up. I thought it was an election year.
Anywho....you got ron and jill pumping the tunes and to get your day fired up....lets go....you gotta believe.

Movies: four star pick by John Beifuss from the the CA for "The Artist'...I have never seen him give a movie four stars.
Saturday at the fed x forum....tigers play SMU at noon ...then The Griz play at 7pm...wow lots of cleaning up and switching the floors between games.
Big football sunday; Ravens vs New england....San fran vs The Giants....my pick Giants and new england.
AUTO SHOW; Its at the cook convention center downtown...tons of cars covered in fingerprints.
Good weather sunday.

Tons to do. Car show...thousands of cars covered in fingerprints....Cook Convention center.
Movies: "The Artist" opens today...John Beifuss from the CA gave it four stars...Golden Globes loved it also.
Football sunday: San fran and the Giants - ravens and new england in the early game
My Picks: NY Giants and New england...both teams start with new. think about it.
Sleep.
Paint.
Party.
Go out to eat with Earl Farrell and his crazy fun wife.
Workout.

Sunday night I was at the Italian Winterfest showing some art and sipping some wine with all my Italian friends. When I got ready to leave, I loaded my stuff back up in my father in laws truck....There was a truck from Coletta's parked right behind me. I didn't think much about it until a very sweet girl emerged from behind the van to notify me that she had run into my truck. She was writing the note when I came up. She had said she was sorry and put her phone number on the paper for me to call later.. Can you believe that someone actually would take the time to leave their number and say they hit my truck on the backside of the racquet club ...where it is nice and dark and no one would have known. What a great feeling. I was blown away that someone would be that honest and courteous....Hey Coletta's....you have some great folks working for you....and that's good to know. |
