I wondered who Nirvana would get to step in for Kurt Cobain when they did their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction performance. Never, in a million years, would I have guessed they would choose Lorde.....but....in a strange way, it works.
Yes, it's a real thing and it should be ready for your next "Walking Dead" viewing party. It's made by a brewery in Philadelphia.....with smoked goat brains as one of the ingredients.
Here's how they describe the flavor: "Fuggle hops provide delicate, earthy notes, while the cranberries create a sinister, bloody hue, and a slight tartness. The pre-sparge-brain-addition provided this beer with intriguing, subtle smoke notes. In true walker fashion, don't be surprised is its head doesn't hang around forever."
Wow. This mom used her own body as a "human speed bump" to save her daugters, who were trapped, alone, in a moving car. She's recovering from a crushed knee and various other injuries, but says she would do it again. Amazing story.
This 9 year old boy LOVES My Little Pony. Lots of guys do.....that's why they have their own nickname, "Bronies". The other boys were bullying him when he brought his My Little Pony backpack to school, so the school has BANNED him from bringing it to school. It's for his own protection, but do you think the school made the right decision?
I hate reading stuff like this, but it's still important to know this stuff. Not that this is any excuse to grab the potato chips instead.....BUT, your "healthy" snacks may not be doing your diet any favors. :-(
Yogurt with Granola So tasty together, BUT a half-cup of granola to your yogurt can easily add up to 300 calories and 15 grams of fat.
A Smoothie Once you blend in milk or yogurt, plus bananas, strawberries, or other calorie-dense fruits and fruit juices, you're talking 300-400 calories—and that's before you add in protein powder, peanut butter, or seeds and nuts.
Grapes Each grape has about 5 calories, but because they are small, it’s very easy to just keep eating and eating. So you can consume more than 200 calories' worth before you know it—without any of the protein you ideally want to have in a snack.
Tuna Salad and Crackers These handy snack kits look so weight loss-friendly, but a can of mayo-infused tuna and three to four crackers offers around 300 calories. Leaving out the mayo and eating the tuna WITHOUT the crackers is a much lower calorie option.
Hummus Dip and Pita Chips Pita chips may be low in fat, but are just as calorie-packed as any kind of fried chip—and if you don't limit yourself to a reasonable amount of hummus, this snack can suddenly put you up around 300-calories or so.
A new survey just came out, listing the top 7 ways women lie on Facebook. The thing is......I don't really consider any of these things "lies". I consider it more "editing".....you know, keeping things interesting for your friends/audience! See what you think. Top 7 Ways Women Lie on Facebook:
1. Photoshopping photos before uploading them.
2. Exaggerating their career success.
3. Only posting about exciting nights so it looks like their social life is nonstop fun . . . and conveniently neglecting to post about the nights they're home on the couch.
4. Only posting photos of their place when it's clean.
5. Only posting about the adorable things their kid does.
6. Using old photos from when they looked better.
7. Untagging themselves in photos where they don't look perfect.
A new list just came out, of the 20 MOST romantic cities in the US. I guess everyone is wasting their money flying to Hawaii for their honeymoon, when they could be finding hot romance in…..Pittsburg?!?! LOL! You know, I could make a case for a few of these, but most of them have me wondering what the judges definition of “romantic” is.
