Letterman and Leno are about to get some competition

Jimmy Kimmel will make the move up from 12:00EST to 11:35EST to compete with David Letterman and Jay Leno starting this January. ABC executives want to own Late Night Entertainment.
The funny thing is, ABC actually tried to hire Jay Leno for the 11:35EST spot pushing Jimmy back to 12:35 back when Conan O'Brien hosted the "Tonight Show." Now, he will be going head to head with Jay Leno and David Letterman.
