Bradley Cooper may be one of Hollywood's most sought-after men these days, but in the early stages of his life, he was a struggling young actor with a supporting, role opposite Jennifer Garner on the ABC spy show Alias. He would only work three days a week and things went downhill for Bradley Cooper after the show's 2001 premiere as his character was given less and less screen time. Bradley Cooper took the drastic step of asking series creator and director J.J. Abrams to write him off of the show even though he had zero job prospects at the time. Making matters worse for him, Bradley Cooper had a serious struggle with drugs and alcohol. Once Bradley Cooper got sober, his situation improved drastically. He said, "I was doing these movies, and I got to meet Sandra Bullock and meet these people and work with them. And I'm sober, and I'm like, 'Oh, I'm actually myself. And I don't have to put on this air to be somebody else, and this person still wants to work with me?... I was rediscovering myself in this workplace, and it was wonderful." ALWAYS GOOD TO SEE A RECOVERY! AND LOOK WHERE HE’S AT NOW!
Mark Wahlberg is upfront when it comes to talking about how he feels about people and things, and now he’s upfront when it comes to discussing how his faith plays a central role in his life. Mark Wahlberg said, "It's the most important part of my life. I don't try to push it on anybody and I don't try to hide it. In fact, Mark Wahlberg, who is Irish Catholic, often goes to church twice on Sundays. He said, "If the kids are good, I'll have doughnuts for them at 6:30 in the morning, and I'll say, 'You guys gotta let Mommy sleep in!' I'll go to church at 7:30 and everybody will be eating breakfast when I come home. Then we'll go to church again at 10:30, if things aren't too hectic. Or if one of the kids has a game we'll watch them play. It's a nice family day." Turns out that setting a good example for his four children is the motivation for a lot, including Mark Wahlberg's getting his high-school diploma, which he received in June. Glad he’s passing the importance of faith along!
Looks like Robert Downey Jr. is no longer the highest-earning actor in Hollywood. That honor now belongs to a different man of steel… Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Topping Forbes' new list of the top-grossing actors of 2013, The Rock’s projects, which included the action flicks Snitch, G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain and Fast & Furious 6 took in a combined $1.3 billion in global ticket sales and cemented his place as this year's most bankable movie star. Robert Downey Jr., who topped last year's list of highest-grossing movie stars thanks to the hugely successful The Avengers, came in a close second to The Rock this year, despite starring in Iron Man 3, the top-earning movie of 2013, which raked in $1.2 billion. Also making Forbes's list were Steve Carell, whose film Despicable Me 2 was the second highest-grossing film at the domestic box office this year with $919 million, and Sandra Bullock. The Rock is expected to have another big year in 2014 with starring roles in the next Fast & Furious movie, as well as Brett Ratner's highly anticipated movie Hercules.
Looks like Lindsay Lohan is really trying to save her career and turn her life around. First there’s reports that she’s writing a tell-all book about her life and rehab experience… and now she’s setting her sights on reigniting her singing career! Lindsay Lohan was in a New York City recording studio over the weekend, experimenting with different songs. Lindsay Lohan has one hit under her belt called "Confessions of a Broken Heart" which is a pop song, but now my sources are telling me that she’s more interested in different genres of music. Lindsay Lohan hasn’t signed with a label yet but that's what she's trying to do. She’s even gotten advice and support from her friends, including Lady Gaga and Max from The Wanted. Well, that sure is a great place to start!
Add this to the list of reasons as to why we love Jennifer Lawrence. She’s using her place in the spotlight to speak out about issues close to her heart. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire star recently sat down with Barbara Walters for the journalist's annual 10 Most Fascinating People of 2013 special and she talked about the practice of fat shaming. Jennifer Lawrence said, "Why is humiliating people funny? I get it, I do it too. We all do it." But the Oscar winner argues that fat-shaming on TV and elsewhere has an harmful effect on her young female fans. She said, "I think the media needs to take responsibility for the effect it has on our younger generation on these girls that are watching these television shows and picking up how to talk and how to be cool. So all of the sudden being funny is making fun of the girl that's wearing an ugly dress. And the word fat! I just think it should be illegal to call somebody fat on TV. If we're regulating cigarettes and sex and cuss words because of the effect it has on our younger generation, why aren't we regulating things like calling somebody fat?" GOOD FOR HER!
Kim Kardashian is in deep water, but she’s denying what’s being said! Kim Kardashian is laughing off claims that she has waxed her daughter North’s eyebrows, stating they are “thick, natural and amazing.” Kim Kardashian branded the people making the claims as “pretty sick.” It all started with a picture that she posted of North West on Instagram. Finally, she decided to fire back on Twitter and defend her six-month-old’s appearance. She wrote: “Do people really think I would wax my daughters eyebrows so young? Come on, I'd wait until she's at least 2 1/2! I'm kidding!!! Its pretty sick for people to insinuate that I would wax my daughters eyebrows. They are thick, natural and amazing!’ The picture immediately made fans speculate about little North West's appearance, some even suggesting that Kim Kardashian had groomed her child's arches. I’ll post the picture up on our facebook page, facebook.com/fm100memphis. You decide for yourself!
Things aren’t looking alright in the world of Charlie Sheen! That’s because three of the actor’s closest and most loyal advisors have suddenly quit. Longtime manager Mark Burg, publicist Larry Solters and entertainment lawyer Jake Bloom all resigned from their posts last week. My sources are telling me that they all were unable to work effectively for Charlie Sheen. He is too much of a loose cannon at the moment with his increasingly erratic and bizarre behavior and outrageous statements. He was refusing to listen to their advice and counsel. Those statements have included very public attacks at his ex-wives Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. But other people are swearing that it was Charlie Sheen who let them go and that they were fired! Either way, losing your whole team, not a good look for you!
